Working with Landowners

Across North America, the men and women who live and work on the land are indispensable partners in habitat conservation. Nowhere is this more true than in the Rainwater Basin, where 99% of the land is privately owned.

While public lands provide a significant portion of Rainwater Basin habitat, we project that roughly one-half of waterfowl habitat needs can be met through restoration and management of wetlands on private land.

We believe that agriculture and wildlife can not only co-exist, but thrive together. RWBJV partners have worked to develop programs and projects that reflect this belief.
